From a useful idea to a dependable product

Every DRTL product moves through a defined development process. This makes it clear what is being explored, what is being built, what is undergoing real-world testing and what is ready to buy.

    Concept

    A real problem or recurring need has been identified. The intended users, purpose and practical value of a possible solution are being defined.

  2. 02

    In Build

    The product structure, functions, presentation and supporting material are being created and refined against the DRTL standard.

  3. 03

    In Testing

    The product is being used in realistic conditions to identify faults, unclear instructions, usability problems and opportunities for improvement.

  4. 04

    On Sale

    The product has passed its release review and is available with clear purchasing, delivery, support and version information.

A product will only move to On Sale when its content, functionality, usability, documentation and delivery package are ready.
