Hexotics originates from the practical need to maintain dependable reptile records and day-to-day management information. It is being used in a real reptile-management environment so the structure can be judged through genuine use.
The intended users are people who need a clearer, more dependable way to organise these records. The current page explains the development approach without presenting unconfirmed functions as finished product features.

Hexotics is being used in realistic conditions before any release decision is made. Testing is intended to find weaknesses, unclear workflows and data problems while changes can still be made.
These are testing areas, not completed test results.
Testing results and known limitations will be added as evidence is recorded. No pass results should be invented.

04 / IMPORT & UPGRADE
The planned migration system is designed around stable record identifiers, product and schema version information, import staging, backups, compatibility checks, validation, clear success and error reporting, and documented upgrade guidance.
Essential will use a guided, manual import and staging process without macros.
Enhanced will provide macro-assisted importing from compatible Essential files and supported earlier versions.
Pro will provide the most automated compatible import route from Essential, Enhanced and supported earlier versions.
Backward migration to a lower edition is not guaranteed.
For upgrades within the same product generation, DRTL intends to credit the price already paid towards the higher edition. Final upgrade terms will be confirmed before sale.
05 / COMPATIBILITY
Essential is planned as a macro-free .xlsx workbook, but its final supported Excel environments still require testing.
Enhanced and Pro require supported desktop editions of Microsoft Excel for VBA macro functions. VBA macros do not run in Excel for the web. Desktop Excel for Mac supports VBA, but final Mac compatibility for each edition will be published only after relevant testing, and Excel may show macro-security warnings.
No compatibility claim is currently made for Google Sheets, LibreOffice, Apple Numbers or mobile spreadsheet applications.

No. Hexotics is In Testing and is not available to purchase. Only products marked On Sale can be purchased.
Essential uses straightforward manual workflows without macros. Enhanced adds assisted workflows. Pro adds maximum reliable automation without claiming that everything will be automated.
Macros can reduce repetitive entry and make suitable workflows faster, but they require desktop Excel and compatibility testing.
DRTL intends to provide compatible import routes and credit the price already paid for upgrades within the same product generation. Final terms will be confirmed before sale.
VBA macros do not run in Excel for the web. Essential compatibility still needs to be confirmed through testing.
Final Mac compatibility will be published only after the relevant edition is tested on supported desktop Excel for Mac.
