ABOUT DRTL

Experience turned into practical systems

DRTL creates clear, dependable digital products for business, work and everyday life. Each system begins with a real problem and is developed around how people actually need to organise, understand and use information.

Useful information should make things clearer

Important work is often made harder by scattered spreadsheets, disconnected records, repeated administration and systems that do not reflect the way people actually work.

DRTL was created to solve that kind of problem. The aim is to understand what needs to be managed, create a dependable structure around it and present the result in a way that remains clear in everyday use.

This applies equally to a business trying to improve operational control and an individual trying to organise an important project, specialist interest or collection of records.

Clarity from Complexity.

Built on practical management and delivery experience

DRTL was created by Stephen Heggs. His background spans more than 30 years of engineering, project delivery, business leadership and operational management.

That experience includes growing and managing an international engineering business, leading multidisciplinary teams, delivering complex programmes and improving the systems used to manage performance, workload, projects and operational information.

DRTL brings that practical experience into focused digital products and tailored business systems. The purpose is not to add more software or unnecessary complexity. It is to make important information easier to control and use.

Products shaped by genuine use

DRTL products begin with a problem that exists in real work or everyday life. The first question is not what software can be added. It is what needs to become clearer, easier to manage or more dependable.

Some products originate from direct personal or professional use. Others develop from recurring problems identified in businesses, projects and specialist activities. This creates a practical foundation before design and development begin.
